Art Adventures Summer Camp

Each week, Art Adventures builds a community led by our talented artists/instructors and counselors. Campers explore design, innovation and creativity in art workshops designed to strengthen their creative abilities while developing their social, communication and intellectual skills. Campers play games, make friends, sing camp songs and build fantastic relationships with our amazing staff. We aim to inspire kids, build self-esteem and allow for unique, creative ideas to blossom. We think with our hands At Art Adventures!

Campers participate in four different fine art and craft workshops per day. These workshops, which continue throughout the week, offer campers a wide range of art making experiences in both two and three-dimensional media. At the end of the day, we have a Free Choice time to wind down, do skits, explore other projects, play games and hang out. Each group has a camp counselor to help support the group, inspire fun and guide the songs, skits, and creative camp energy that is all part of Art Adventures.

The weeklong sessions run from 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday. Each Friday afternoon at 4pm, all of the young artists gather with parents and friends for an “Art Walk” to share their artwork with families, friends, camp staff and other artists. The art show gives campers a chance to celebrate the week’s accomplishments and to see their work through the eyes of others. Parents have the opportunity to meet with the teaching artists and see the whole creative campus!

Children are grouped by age/grade with a maximum of 12 per group. If your child would like to be grouped with ONE friend please be sure to indicate this in the “comment” field during check out process. We are only able to group with one child, no more than one grade apart in age. We are unable to place a larger group of friends together. We strongly feel that camp is a great place to make new friends and develop social skills to build a new community each week.

Campers have full access to port-a-potty portable restrooms that are stationed throughout camp. Each bathroom station has a sink with water to wash hands. If your child is unaccustomed to using port-a-potties, we encourage you to introduce them to the idea. We keep our stations clean and sanitized daily.

Who: Registration is open to children who will be entering grades 1-5 in the fall.

What: Week-long sessions are comprised of four art workshops a day plus snack breaks, lunch break, games, skits, friends and festivities!

When: The daily camp schedule runs from 9am-5pm. Supervised care is available from 8am-9am (Before Care) and from 5pm-6pm (After Care). Before/After Care is offered as a package for an additional fee of $30 per session.

Where: Most workshops are taught in open tents throughout our beautiful 10-acre campus, using the natural environment as a backdrop for creativity.

Campers must bring a lunch and 2 snacks.

Why: Children need a chance to develop their creativity! We give them the tools and instruction to learn and explore in a nurturing environment.
