Ceramics: Wheel Throwing (Grades 9-12)

In this one-week workshop students will be introduced to wheel throwing techniques as they relate to functional vessels and sculpture. Students will learn how to form cups and bowls in addition to using the wheel as a tool for making parts and pieces to transform into sculptural objects. All wares will be food safe and ready to use at the end of the workshop.

*Pre-College Workshops begin Monday morning at 9am, and then 10am for each day after. Each morning, Tues-Fri, 9am-10am is designed as an optional "Open Studio" time for students to work on their projects. The Teaching Instructor will be present to prep and set up and available for guidance and questions. The workshop will then formally begin at 10am Tues-Friday.
