The graphic design workshop is a place for students to expand their foundational knowledge of good design principles and how they relate to the world of advertising and illustration. In this course students will engage in the development of a range of small design projects that will expose them to the incredible flexibility and impact of vector artwork. Students will be taught how to develop their designs using traditional sketching methods on paper, but will ultimately resolve all of their work in Adobe Illustrator; adding depth and clarity to their personalized design concepts. At the end of the workshop, students will select their best work to be printed and prepared for public exhibition.
*Pre-College Workshops begin Monday morning at 9am, and then 10am for each day after. Each morning, Tues-Fri, 9am-10am is designed as an optional "Open Studio" time for students to work on their projects. The Teaching Instructor will be present to prep and set up and available for guidance and questions. The workshop will then formally begin at 10am Tues-Friday.
